The location was perfect. Right in the middle of all the important spots + across the street from campus. I lived in a studio double. Luckily, my roommate and i got along super well, so we made the space work. It’s very small and intimate. You get absolutely no privacy. We faced the alley, so that meant never seeing the sun. Super hot in the summer. The kitchen was impossibly small and the room was old. The rug was disgusting and the floors were cracked. The bathroom was surprisingly big and probably the only nice thing in this studio. It’s insane that the school considers this standard, i don’t even know how they offer it as an option for two people, let alone one. we moved out for the spring semester.
Probably the best budget option possible imo, only downside is that the closet in the shared room is far too small. Again, this rating is based on the quad version (2 singles and a double), I've heard the studio only rooms are not nearly as nice.
Lived here in a double studio with a bunk bed, two standard desks and private kitchen and bathroom. Rooms can be dim if not facing the street. There's no AC or ventilation so when you cook the whole place becomes a hot mess. Really bad shower that's either boiling hot/freezing cold every few minutes. LOTS of cockroaches but haven't seen any rats. Find any way possible to avoid this place if you have other available options.
Honestly this building is not as bad as the other reviewers are saying! The definition of an economy style apartment (according to northeastern) is that there is no living room area. Even without that though we still had space to have ~7 people over to chill if we wanted. I had the single and it was a pretty large room, the only downside was that there was no closet. My roommates and I never saw any pests aside from those massive flies that are everywhere in Boston. The double bedroom had a really pretty bay window with great lighting, and the kitchen had more storage than expected. The fridge was also larger than in other dorms so we had a lot of space for food. Bathroom was not cramped and was pretty clean (considering that it’s not a new...
Had studio double, should have been for one person. Single large room including kitchenette, very low quality, usually bottom of the barrel for selection. Appliances were new which was nice. Saw a rat once. Bathroom extremely low quality, shower was open bathtub with curtains
This dorm is a scam. Unless you get free housing in your scholarship or you absolutely do not have the means to rent an off campus apartment try not to live here. I lived in a 3 person apartment, 1 double and 1 single. The apartment 100% was originally just 2 rooms, a living room with a kitchen, and a bedroom (and a bathroom attached to the living room of course). Northeastern decided to put a cheap ass wall to separate the living room from the kitchen area to make that a double room. So now the kitchen area is this 5 ft by 6ft area with a 4 person table slammed up against the wall. There is no room for anything else in that tiny area. The single room was deluxe as it was huge but its window was in the alleyway right above where they keep t...
Great location on Huntington Ave, but old building - lots of cockroaches, no air conditioning.
