Is Maple Hall the best dorm at UW?

Students rated Maple Hall a 4.4/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

It is homey and quiet but sometimes sketchy because homeless people have walked inside before. Spacious if you get a double but triples suck.

the dorm is on the street, so homeless people sometimes go in but nothing serious has happened. maple is close to the ave which is very convenient if you want access to yummy food. the room is spacious but can get really hot in the spring/early fall. you can loft the beds and there's a lot of storage. the bathrooms are nice but the racks for towels are close to each other so your towel might be touching your roommate's towel.

Highlight: Homeless dude started a trash can fire at 5 am and we all had to evacuate into the rain. Quiet if your window isnt facing the courtyard. South facing dorms can see seattle skyline/rainier. Common room couches are unstable and blocky but push the table against the back of the couch to make it more comfortable

Had a corner room so my room experience was likely better than average. Clean, spacious room with a private bath. Doors auto-lock but have a switch on the side of the door to keep them unlocked if you'd like. Plenty of spaces to study/hang out around the building, games area on ground floor, and multiple music practice rooms. In my opinion the best West Campus building.

Good dorm that has pretty much everything you want. Has clean private bathrooms (showerhead strength could be stronger) and also has Area 01 in the building which is a pretty cool space to hang out and play play ping pong. There are also 2+ study rooms on every floor but most of them are taken during midterm/finals season. There are also 2 kitchens on every floor with a TV so you can cook and watch movies. The kitchens can get a little bit messy depending on who lives on your floor but someone comes and cleans it up every morning. The rooms themselves aren't bad but in a triple it gets extremely cramped so I recommend going for a double or a single.
