The rooms themselves are new and decent sized. Lived on 9th floor of building A and had a great view of the water and space needle. Gets super hot (80+) when weather is above 70 and sunny out and is extremely difficult to cool it down. Windows have no screens but living on upper floor, did not have any issue with bugs. Bathrooms light switched are weirdly placed but have lots of counter space and drawers. Shower heads do not move but aren't awful. Kitchen is large with tons of storage space and huge fridge. Freezer gets super cold too! On the outer side of west campus and can make going to class feel like a trek. If you struggle with going to class, the distance will NOT be your friend, especially in winter quarter. Overall really enjoyed M...
It was a good size of your own room! The buildings/court was a bit further away from campus compare to other dorms, but it gives you the quiet and chill area a bit on the outer circle of the campus.
I was in a single in a 6-bedroom apartment where each room had its own private bath. Each room had its own heater but no AC, so on warmer days it could get pretty hot inside. Kinda far from classes in parts of campus but I enjoyed the location anyway. Also, really pretty views of the bay from some parts of the building!
Overall a pretty good experience, especially in the quads (2 bathrooms and four bedrooms) with a larger common space and kitchen shared with three other people. You get your own spacious room which is really nice. Overall, if you communicate well with your roommates, it's a pretty nice and cozy place.
Best apartments on West Campus, especially/only if you like/know all your flatmates well. My room is a 4-bedroom, and although the living room/common area in mine is MUCH smaller than the largest rooms in Mercer, it's a comfortable, cozy place to be. The fridge, microwave and oven/cooktop are great, and combined with the fact that you can opt out of the HFS dining plans as a Mercer resident, it means you can save some money by cooking your own food. The rooms themselves are small, but they've got plenty of wall outlets and lots of storage. You've got two private bathrooms per 4-bedroom apartment, and they're alright. The showers are pretty terrible, though; ultra-low-flow showerheads that can't be adjusted, and some unintuitive/weirdly-plac...
No window screen so expect LOTS OF bugs in your room. Great fridge and cooktop. The shower is not good, can't move the shower head.
