Is Endeavor Hall the best dorm at USF?

Students rated Endeavor Hall a 3.6/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

Looks nice because it’s brand new but it’s a pretty terribly built form building. My roommate and I had a corner room, which was supposed to be bigger than other rooms in the hall. However, the room was built very weird so no good use of the space could be made. The AC was constantly broken and either blowing extremely cold air or not blowing anything at all. There were cracks on the ceiling (suggesting foundational issues I think) and the shower water pressure wasn’t very good. Water pressure in general wasn’t the best I had experienced, but tended to be better in the communal dining area thing on each floor (where there was a sink, counter space, and a microwave). This building also only had 1 kitchen for residents of the entire building. The laundry room was small, and didn’t accept student cards for a large part of the year. The elevator broke multiple times too, or just fell with students inside. It was located pretty centrally to the Marshall Student Center, a fitness center, and the library, but location didn’t compensate for its other failures. I lived in JP my first year and would recommend that over Endeavor any day, even if it’s an older building. Endeavor is too expensive for the quality it offers.

Pros: Pretty good location being in the village, you are a 5 minute walk from the on-campus publix and even closer to The Hub (the dining hall in the village). Walls are made of drywall and not concrete which makes the room feel a lot more comfortable Air conditioning never failed for me and my roomate however it did ONCE for a friend but was fixed within the same day 10 Minute walk from the MSC (student center) where there is a foodcourt with chic fila, panda express, papa johns, subway, etc. Communal Kitchen on the first floor with a microwave, stove, refridgerator which is emptied weekly, and an oven. Cons: If you get a traditional dorm and not a suite the bathrooms are not great, though they are cleaned daily during the week, the bathrooms are not cleaned over the weekend. Went to the bathroom many times to see the bathroom in a wreck and would have to wait until moday for it to be clean again. Bathroom water pressure is fairly weak. Drywall rips very easily, becareful when sticking things to the wall and be prepared to have to repaint at the end of the year. Elevators did break down, about once a week or so but would be fixed within the same day, the longest someone has been stuck in one was maybe 20 minutes at most. TIP: The two rooms closest to the elevator and the two rooms at the corner of the building are larger, the ones near the elevator are a lot better designed with more space while the corner ones are bigger but not a great setup.
