"Castor is in a wonderful location that's close to the MSC and Argos, with Castor beach just a minute's walk away. The people in Castor are wonderful - most of my friends live in Castor, and from what I've seen the people are a lot friendlier here than in any other dorm. However, if you have to pay for Castor, I would recommend investing in an off-campus apartment, unless you are fine with community bathrooms. There's been a sugar ant problem both in the bathrooms and in the dorms. Thankfully, the insect exterminator that Castor called in (free of charge) was able to get rid of the dorm ants, but the bathrooms continue to have an issue."

"The room is clean, but gets dusty easily. The building is lively which is amazing, but the RLC is rude and the amount of noise complainant is extremely. We get them for door slamming and walking to late at night. The walls are thin that is not our fault, the doors are heavy that is not our fault, we exist walking shouldn’t be an issue. As well as the bathrooms are cleaned once a week and one of the toilet doors has been broken for 3 weeks, it should have been fixed."

"Pros: Pretty good location being in the village, you are a 5 minute walk from the on-campus publix and even closer to The Hub (the dining hall in the village). Walls are made of drywall and not concrete which makes the room feel a lot more comfortable Air conditioning never failed for me and my roomate however it did ONCE for a friend but was fixed within the same day 10 Minute walk from the MSC (student center) where there is a foodcourt with chic fila, panda express, papa johns, subway, etc. Communal Kitchen on the first floor with a microwave, stove, refridgerator which is emptied weekly, and an oven. Cons: If you get a traditional dorm and not a suite the bathrooms are not great, though they are cleaned daily during the week, the bathrooms are not cleaned over the weekend. Went to the bathroom many times to see the bathroom in a wreck and would have to wait until moday for it to be clean again. Bathroom water pressure is fairly weak. Drywall rips very easily, becareful when sticking things to the wall and be prepared to have to repaint at the end of the year. Elevators did break down, about once a week or so but would be fixed within the same day, the longest someone has been stuck in one was maybe 20 minutes at most. TIP: The two rooms closest to the elevator and the two rooms at the corner of the building are larger, the ones near the elevator are a lot better designed with more space while the corner ones are bigger but not a great setup. "

"The common area was great for making friends and socializing. Also nice having both a dining hall and kitchen in the building."

"I lived in Cypress my freshman year, it was a suite, where there were 2 dorm rooms in a unit that shared 2 bathrooms, one bathroom had a toilet and sink and one bathroom had a shower. The dorm itself is a nice size since you share with one other person. There was a decent amount of natural lighting and there was also a sink in the room. The closet is tiny but it can fit what you need, I don't have a ton of clothes and it being Florida there is no need to store huge coats. It is nice that you don't need to share a bathroom with 20 other college students. The 2 bathrooms being shared between 4 people was never really an issue, and the shower had good water pressure and hot water as well. There was a lounge area with a kitchen. The kitchen was never really used, so it was always clean and the lounge area was perfect for super late night study sessions. This dorm was pretty nice and I would recommend it for someone who wants to be on campus their first year once the pandemic is over. The only downside is that it is kinda far from classes, you will definitely want a bike to get to classes."

"I loved Beacon. It was close distance to Publix and my room had a really nice view. The room size is also really nice. However, if you’re looking for a single dorm you more than likely won’t find it here. If you like you’re roommate though it should be great!"

"I love my Pinnacle dorm. It’s a single so I’m in there by myself but it’s the size of a double dorm so I have a bunch of space. I love that it’s just me so I have my peace and quiet."
