    Cypress Hall

"I lived in Cypress my freshman year, it was a suite, where there were 2 dorm rooms in a unit that shared 2 bathrooms, one bathroom had a toilet and sink and one bathroom had a shower. The dorm itself is a nice size since you share with one other person. There was a decent amount of natural lighting and there was also a sink in the room. The closet is tiny but it can fit what you need, I don't have a ton of clothes and it being Florida there is no need to store huge coats. It is nice that you don't need to share a bathroom with 20 other college students. The 2 bathrooms being shared between 4 people was never really an issue, and the shower had good water pressure and hot water as well. There was a lounge area with a kitchen. The kitchen was never really used, so it was always clean and the lounge area was perfect for super late night study sessions. This dorm was pretty nice and I would recommend it for someone who wants to be on campus their first year once the pandemic is over. The only downside is that it is kinda far from classes, you will definitely want a bike to get to classes." - 4 years ago

    Beacon Hall

    Beacon Hall at USF

"I loved the concept of living in the double room. It was a nice space and I had my own bathroom (which is cleaned once a week) that I liked. HOWEVER, I'm not sure if other people on my floor (second floor, btw) had this same issue but my room tended to get very dusty very quickly. There was an issue with a leak I believe that ruined the bathroom of my neighbors that lived across from me. Also, the laundry room on the first floor had a very weird smell. I wish more could have been done about cleaning the laundry room (but i guess that's just part of having to share it with so many people).

some advice for the laundry room: wipe down the washing machines with wipes. you'd be very surprised at how dirty that area between the door gets. plus, clothes get stuck there all the time which is why I started doing this." - 4 years ago

"I love my Pinnacle dorm. It’s a single so I’m in there by myself but it’s the size of a double dorm so I have a bunch of space. I love that it’s just me so I have my peace and quiet." - 4 years ago
