I lived in a single my junior year and loved it. Many of the gripes people had seem to be about sharing spaces with people. The single rooms bedrooms do not share a wall with another room and your living room shares a wall with another living room so noise is almost never an issue besides up or down. The bus can be a bit of a pain if you're running late but if you plan well its not an issue. Honestly I loved it and am living there again the following year.
HATED it here. The water from the sink in the bathroom was so murky. The walls are so thin that my roommate would wake me up each morning just from brushing. Buff bus NEVER waits at the bear creek stop but waits 5 minutes for the freshmen at the Williams Village stop. The Village center dining hall is not good and has the same weekly menu the entire year. Dob't live here unless you have to.
If you don't mind living slightly off campus, this is the place for you. In between 3 grocery stores (2 within walking/biking distance), dining hall (C5C) right next to building A, gym access (+12 credit hour requirement), UPS store is next door. Residents are a mix of upper classmen, transfer, and international students making it a diverse community. Surrounded by a bunch of multi-use trails and not too far from recreation like chautauqua and valmont park. Staff are super friendly and helpful. 15-20 min walk to middle of campus
Standard apartment building. Rooms were Just big enough to have everything you needed. Bathroom was standard-toilet, good shower, and personal sinks. Fridge, dishwasher, and stove provided. There was a big enough living room, but never really used it. Spent most of my time in my own room, as my flat mates and I never really talked. Security is fine. Whoever monitors the parking lots for visiting cars, be careful. They will find you and put a giant warning sticker or ticket on your Car. They’re relentless about that. Having to pick up packages was a b it annoying from a specific desk, but I get why they do it. Security and all. Wish there were more frequent buff buses back then. Ended up just walking to campus a lot.
