Is Crown College Descartes House the best dorm at UC Santa Cruz?

The dorms in lower quad are so much worse than the ones in upper quad. My room was also facing the bus stop so I got to hear the buses all the time. The showers are just curtains and the stalls have big gaps so you can see who is on the toilet. Also we had to keep the bathroom door open at all times so I got to hear flushing all night long. The bottom floor bathroom was renovated and a lot better though. The walls are paper thin so I could hear my neighbor’s alarm in the morning and the people above me talking. If you want to live in Crown try to get something in upper quad until they renovate lower quad.
