Cowell College Reviews
UC Santa Cruz
Reviews Summary
Cowell College is conveniently located on campus, providing easy access to essential facilities such as the dining hall, gym, wellness center, and humanities classrooms. Its proximity to these amenities makes daily activities more efficient for students. The dorm buildings, while older, maintain a relatively clean environment, and recent feedback suggests that key access to buildings and dorms might be undergoing changes. Residents appreciate the scenic views, as Cowell is situated near a field and ocean, offering picturesque surroundings. The dining hall is considered decent in comparison to other options, and there is also a café available. The Cowell apartments, particularly popular among students, boast a dual-level layout, which allows for separation between social and private spaces, enhancing the living experience. While living in triples might feel cramped, the overall arrangement and central location make Cowell College a desirable residence option for students seeking a balance of convenience and community.

Old buildings, require key for building and seperate key for dorm, might be changing this year? Close to gym, pretty decent dining hall, heard its worse everywhere else. Lived on 4th floor so tons of stairs everyday.

Cowell College is located in the most convenient place where it is close to the dining hall, gym, and other facilities. The dorms are relatively clean, though a bit old, and I personally got lucky with a spacious quad.

I lived in the Cowell apartments my sophmore year and they were amazing! I think theyre some of the best apartments on campus and some of the most sought after. Mostly cuz of the location its great. The rooms themselves are kind of cramped if youre living in a triple - but I loved having a 2 story apartment. That way people can be doing whatever and hanging out downstairs and it doesnt affect all the rooms downstairs.

I stayed in Cowell apartments in a triple. The shared space is pretty nice. Cowell has one of the better apartments on campus since there are two floors. Also the view is scenic being next to the field and ocean. I highly recommend to get an apartment in Cowell.

Central location with easy access to fitness center, wellness center, and humanities classrooms. Not too far from Science Hill. The dining hall isn’t bad, and there’s a cafe.
