Is Jackson Hall the best dorm at LSU?

Students rated Jackson Hall a 2.5/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.

The dorm was meh. The bathrooms were always dirty and there was also vomit somewhere in the stacks. The sound of the door closing echoed throughout the building whenever used. The rooms were small and kinda cramped but it had a window unit so that was a plus.

Security: Jackson Hall was part of the Pentagon Community on campus and I thought it was cool because it was sort of a gated community, rather than a usual dorm. If you are worried about your safety, there are three security points: the front desk or side gates, your building entrance, and your room. However, sometimes the building doors would not lock properly unless you slam the door. Buildings: The rooms were decent sized, definitely enough for a few friends to hang out in. The buildings itself were somewhat outdated and we had trouble with mold being on the ceiling fan when we first moved in. Each building in the pentagon consisted five "stacks" that were each made up of three different floors, and each floor had 3 - 4 rooms. Each stack had 9 - 12 rooms, a bathroom on each floor and a kitchen on the second floor. Bathrooms: Considering it was community bathrooms, it was expected to be dirty and sometimes bothered me. I bought shower slippers as a precaution. However, there were three bathrooms per stack so it was a lot better than other dorms' bathrooms. Location: The location is my favorite aspect. You can literally see Tiger Stadium from the dorm. If the football game is too loud, I can always make a short 5 minute walk to the library if I needed to study. As a freshman, most of your classes will be in the Quad, which is anywhere between a 5-8 minute walk from the dorm. Additionally, the Union, or the food court, is no more than a 10-12 minute walk away.
