Louisiana State University is an American public land-grant research university in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

A full-time, first-year LSU student is one who has graduated from high school and hasn't taken any college courses, excluding dual enrollment. They must sign an academic-year contract. Those starting in summer/fall must stay on campus for both fall and spring semesters; those starting in spring must stay for spring only. On-campus housing means LSU Residential Life-managed housing, excluding Greek houses.
