Is Taylor Hall the best dorm at LSU?

The rooms were big in my opinion. I liked having my own AC/heater unit. The two big windows were nice. There is also a ceiling fan. Anytime the door closed, you could hear it from your room. I lived on the bottom floor of a stack, so moving things into my room wasn’t too hard. I think it was definitely more difficult if you lived on the third floor of the stack (going up many stairs). I did like the unique set up of the overall dorm. The courtyard is really nice. The buildings are pretty old, so there are facility problems often. The bathroom is private, but you have to share it with at most 7 other people. You do have the option to go to the other bathrooms in your stack. It is definitely something to get used to. I really like the location in terms of the Quad, the dining hall, and Highland Road. It’s a long walk to the UREC however. There is a large parking lot that is shared with some other dorms and the apartments, but I liked having that option better than the East side of campus where parking lots were scattered and smaller.

The rooms are bigger than some of the new dorms, and they have big windows and high ceilings. The window HVAC units are incredibly loud and annoying though. The bathrooms are communal, but they're single-user so you do have privacy.
