Kissam Reviews

Vanderbilt University Warren & Moore

Reviews Summary

Kissam offers an exceptional living experience with its modern amenities and strong community atmosphere, embodying the new residential college vibe. Residents rave about the abundance of natural light through numerous windows, making both rooms and hallways bright and inviting. Spacious accommodations range from singles and doubles to large suites accommodating up to six people, each equipped with a shared restroom, common area, and kitchenette, making them ideal for both personal space and hosting get-togethers. While Kissam is slightly distanced from main campus buildings, its proximity to West End Avenue and 21st Avenue is appreciated, and the enchanting paths and trees along the way make for a pleasant commute. The dorm provides both communal and private bathrooms, which are well-maintained. Dining is convenient with an on-site dining hall and the popular Kissam Munchie Mart, where residents can use meal swipes for various offerings, including unique acai bowls. Social activities, such as the Sunday Fresh Baked event, foster a warm community feel. Despite its distance from the Rec Center and quieter social environment, the vibrant interactions and exceptional living conditions make Kissam a highly desirable residence for Vanderbilt students.

Kissam gives off good new residential college vibes. The outside area and the munchie are nice, and there are a lot of windows that let in natural light. Some of the automatic doors can get jammed, but the rooms and hallways are clean and bright.

I love Kissam. The community here is great and my double is extremely spacious. It also gets a ton of natural light which is really nice as well. The bathroom is nice, but some people just lack manners and leave it nasty but it’s ok. Food is mid but always edible in my opinion.

I really liked living at Kissam, it being so close to West End Avenue as well as 21st Avenue. Classes may be further than some of the other dorms, but I don’t mind the walk through the part of campus closer to Kissam as it is full of trees and pretty paths. I liked how the entire Kissam building is connected, so I won’t need to go outdoors for most of my daily chores / activities within Kissam.

kissam has such great amenities and an amazing community! i really enjoy the events that both moore and warren put on and the constant interactions with other people in kissam. although it’s kind of far, it’s great to have a dining hall and munchie mart. my room is also v nice and spacious. only complaint is the shower head pressure is way too high

I am satisfied with all the basic amenities of Kissam. Kissam Munchie and many study spaces help as well. The only downside would be its distance from the main campus buildings.

Kissam Warren College is one of the newer dorms on campus in a residential college system Vandy is starting to adopt, similar to that of Yale. Within Warren there are singles, doubles, and suites that range from 5-6 people where each person gets their own individual single and a shared suite restroom, common area, and kitchenette. The size of the suite is very spacious and the single rooms are a good balance of personal space, but also space for friends to come and lounge around. In every Residential College there is also a Munchie Mart/Dining Hall where you can utilize meal swipes to get to go entrees, snacks, and exclusive to Kissam Acai Bowls.

I have really enjoyed my living experience thus far. My suite is really spacious and the priv...

Kissam is one of the better buildings on campus because it's not too far from classes but if you're able to get the 4-6 person suites then you get some good space.

Hands down one of the best places to live at Vandy alongside Moore (its sister residence @ Kissam). Close to many buildings that are commonly visited including EBI, Rand, and Wilson among others. If you get to live here you are a lucky SoB.

Hands down one of the best places to live on campus, especially if you manage to get one of the 4-, 5-, or 6-person suites since those are massive and a great place to host parties. The singles and doubles are also decently sized compared to the older dorm buildings. Both communal and private in-suite bathrooms are kept super clean and tidy.

There is Fresh Baked every Sunday evening, where the faculty advisor invites all residents up to his apartment for free baked goods. Having easy access to Kissam Center and a munchie mart is also a godsend. You also have card access to Moore College up til midnight every night so you can also use Moore’s common areas, study rooms, kitchens, etc.

Only pet peeve is that it can be a bit socially dead co...
