It is the newest res hall on campus, so there weren’t too many problems. Outside of getting food, you can basically do everything else in the building. On the 3rd floor, there are private music rooms and printer (so helpful for last minute assignments) and a patio. Each floor also has their own washer/dryers and separated genders by wing, so you can get to know other people much easier. It is also smack in the middle of campus, so getting to class takes at most 10 minutes walking. The only bad things about the place is the hand dryers in the bathroom are ridiculously loud. I lived 3 doors down from the bathroom and heard them even with my door completely shut. The other is that the AC unit is set to only 70 degrees, even if you change it to...
Nordenberg is the best you can get. You just have to avoid this guy, Alex Michalski. He caused this huge stench on the floor and tipped his fridge over in the lounge and it destroyed the carpet.
I was in the triple in the corner which is bigger than the other triples. All rooms are a good size and definitely one of the better dorms on campus
Being the newest dorm on campus I definitely recommend Nordenberg for all freshmen. The room sizes are about average maybe slightly bigger. But all the amenities make it stand out much more and the location is perfect being on lower campus.
Nordenberg was great. Built in 2013 and had the best communal bathrooms I've ever seen. Rooms were somewhat small but had every amenity possible- tv, fridge, cable. Clearly is the best dorm on Pitt campus with very central location as well. 1 min to class allows you to sleep as much as possible. Also floors were very social with the 4 lounges / floor. I made some of my best friends here. Put it as #1 and see if the odds are in your favor
