Your experience in there depends on the people on your floor. Sometimes the people on your floor don’t respect the silent hours. Overall really good experience.
I lived in CV2 Dorm my freshman year, and overall I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to dorm at SJSU. I lived in a Double, meaning I shared the room with 1 roommate. We each had a twin bed (provided by school), desk (provided by school), and individual open closet space. Along with that, we brought our own mini fridge and microwave. The only part that I didn't enjoy was the communal bathrooms, however I will say they were regularly cleaned.
CV2 was a nice place to stay during my freshman year of college at SJSU. It was conveniently next to the gym, the business building, and the dining hall. Some Pros are the accessibility it had around campus, the cleanliness compared to other dorms, and the RAs. A Con is the slow and crowded elevators since I lived on the 10th floor, bathroom situation, and laundry room. The bathrooms were split into women on one side, men on the other, and co-ed on both. The laundry room was constantly occupied and there was always a wait.
The building is right next to the Village Market, making it convenient for late night snacks. The rooms are also a decent size
The room was quite small, a friend had a widescreen monitor that looked like a 75" TV in comparison. Other than that, the beds were comfortable enough and the window had a decent view.
Honestly very glad I decided to dorm in CV2 my freshman year (2021-2022). Though it is the most expensive freshman dorm, I think everything that the building has to offer makes it worth it. I lived in a double and there was plenty of space for the both of us. The bathrooms were cleaned daily by the nice cleaning staff and each floor offers 2 lounges, 1 designated for studying. There’s also a kitchen and lounge/music room on the 1st floor. As for cons, from my experience, CV2 definitely has a “hotel vibe”, meaning I wouldn’t necessarily say that it’s very social. Also, elevators can get pretty crowded during common class times, so if you live on the lower floors, you should probably make adjustments accordingly. Other than that, CV2 was grea...
CV2 was a pretty good dorm that I stayed in during my freshman year, it had all the necessities that you would need along with a clean room and a good amount of space to design it however you would like. I was part of a double and it felt pretty spacious overall I would say it was a great living experience. However I would definitely say that CV2 didn't feel as social compared to the other dorms on campus, but other than that was still a great place to stay, also having AC was very much appreciated.
Cv2 has been a great experience for me. This building is one of the nicer ones, but mainly there's AC which helps a lot during the summertime because it gets pretty toasty outside. Another nice thing is the 2 lounge rooms they have on every floor. From my experience so far, people are very open to talking and just exchanging socials. Overall this dorm is pretty nice.
Besttttt dorms on sjsu campus. Everyone is super welcoming the first week and the building is newer than all the other dorms. I highly recommend living here. There is only one kitchen on the first floor but each floor has a lounge and a study lounge.
