Brown has been a struggle to say the least. However, they did recently renovate the second floor due to the flooding incident that happened last semester so the girls floor has been somewhat blessed. However, there has been lowkey signs of mold poisoning from this dorm hall and a lot of people have gotten sick. There was also no hot water until several months but the hot water fades away so we have to take a trip outside to go to a different dorm to shower. A very humbling experience to say the least. Many stories will be told. That is what we get out of living in Brown Hall.
The building is old and it shows but the rooms/bathrooms are good enough for basic needs. Rooms aren't big by any means but they aren't uncomfortably cramped either. I think the key with Brown is that it fostered a really strong community both due to the communal struggle of living in such an old building, as well as the fact that having "good enough" at best rooms meant that most people had little motivation to stay in their rooms and instead opted to hang out in common areas and as such, we had a really strong community feel. So much so that now, as a senior, my closest friends (and girlfriend) are people I met living at Brown freshman year.
