Shipstad Hall
based on 3 reviews
Shipstad Hall is very close to the bus stop, so it's very convenient for visiting different areas of Portland, especially during your freshmen year. The community was very strong, and the RAs and hall directors would plan multiple community events to get to know everyone more. The bedroom was a good size, but they crammed 3 people together (a forced triple). Since there's no AC, the rooms get very hot in August and closer to the summer time. The bathrooms were okay, but a lot of people would leave trash behind or would throw up in the toilet stalls. The laundry room was in the basement, and some of them wouldn't work on different occasions. - 2 years ago

Fields Hall
based on 3 reviews
Hall staff at the time was super weird, so I hope they’re changed out since 2018, but honestly the room was really nice. Everything was kept fairly clean and secure. There was only one, small kitchen, though. Quads are cool but if you’re concerned about security maybe opt for a double. The bathroom as shared between two quad rooms didn’t lock, so it was possible for people from the adjoining quad to come into our room. - 4 years ago

Lund Family Hall
based on 1 review
Lund Family Hall has AC, which is good for those warm months. It's a 1 minute walk to the gym. It takes 10 minutes to get to the Pilot House for food and 10-15 minutes to get to class, depending on the building. Since it was a new resident hall, the community wasn't too strong at the beginning, but they held events to strengthen that. The RAs and hall director were great. The bathrooms were great and clean. The dorm room was a good size. For a few months, we had 3 people in the room due to ongoing construction of the 3rd floor, but once that was complete, the room was good with just 2 people. Although it's far from the rest of campus, living in the newest dorm was a great experience. - 2 years ago

Schoenfeldt Hall
based on 1 review
Schoenfeldt was my home for three years and I loved it. It is a "co-ed" dorm, with men on one wing and women on the other (Fields Hall). All in one, same building, but associated differently...sort of a brother sister thing. It's about a 10 minute walk to main campus, but a 2 minute walk to the gym, so that's what I liked about it. There's a nice chill spot in the back to see the sunset every day and it's very close to a bus stop (to go downtown or St. John's to grab something to eat) and the mailing center (for books and packages). The closest eatery would be the Pilot House, which is also another 10 minute walk. There's a lot of common areas available, a kitchen in the basement, a volleyball court, a basketball court, and a private chapel where weekly masses are held. Common bathrooms are actually super clean and spacious on each floor mainly because it is fairly new. There is also only two private bathrooms on each floor mainly in place for those who are disabled. The air-conditioning is the best during move in since it is super hot in August and they do a pretty good job at turning on the heater during the winter. Overall I had a really pleasant stay and I hope you do, too! - 4 years ago
