"Dorm itself and bathrooms are ok, and its quiet, but far from main campus. However dining hall is quite good"

"There is NO AC!! The heating system is super old so the temperatures are always really extreme, no matter what season it is. Rooms are all diff sizes and you have no control over which room you get. There is one communal kitchen for the whole building - 2 ovens/stoves and 1 microwave. Laundry is in the basement and it’s always full, it’s an annoying deal to do laundry.Bathrooms/trash don’t get cleaned on the weekend. Bathrooms have no shelf space and are communal. Dining hall is gross and not worth the money. However living in this area is really convenient. There is a bus stop for almost every bus right outside the front door. The walk to Target and restaurants is really quick. Definitely bring your own microwave, fridge/freezer, lamps, and a couple of fans. There’s also nearly no outlets in the rooms so bring a lot of surge protectors/extension cords. My roommate & I had one box fan in the window & one stand fan, plus a mini fan clipped to our loft beds. A double room comes with 2 desks, 2 chairs, 2 trash cans, and 2 dressers. "

"Not the nicest dorm at the University but it’s cozy and overall clean. Bathroom could be improved. Had a good experience living there."

"The location is great for East Bank. like a 5 minute walk from Bruinicks and Northrop Mall where most classes are. My double room was very nice and spacious. The bathrooms at times were nasty but were always cleaned pretty quickly. "

"Pros: - For double rooms, only have to share bathroom with one other room (so total of 4 people to a bathroom) - Nice view of the city and the Mississippi from some rooms and the lounges - Has two practice rooms (one with a piano), a couple of study rooms, and a pool table - Great location if you are in Carlson or have other West Bank classes - Quieter environment that is usually good for studying; still plenty of opportunities to meet people though with various floor events and groups Cons: - Many reports of cockroaches, especially in the upper floors - Printers worked rarely - Not an ideal location if you have classes in St. Paul - Washing machines are small and laundry area gets busy during the weekends - Dining hall is meh; if you are vegetarian or vegan you will have extremely limited options Middlebrook has a bad rep for housing the Honors LLC but I had a good experience here. I made good friends and great memories and I benefited from its location on West Bank. "

"As far as superblock goes, Pio’s the undisputed king. T hall was definitely a great place thoguh, especially since I got a quiet hallway off of the main one so I could sleep on weekend nights if I wanted. If you get a main hallway room though, it’ll definitely be pretty noisy most Thursday-Saturday nights if you’re not going out. Other than that I think it’s the second best superblock dorm, things like bathrooms got cleaned daily"

"Pioneer hall is definitely one of the best halls on campus. It's right next to campus and because it's in superblock it's very easy to socialize"
