"1. Room: I was in a triple flex room and in a suite with another double room. Considering the fact that we had a triple, it was pretty spacious with decent lighting. Amenities included a small dresser, bed, and a work table for each roommate. The suites come with a small kitchen, microwave and fridge that I shared with 4 other roommates. 2. Building: It's a pretty old dorm, especially compared to Kerrey. Amenities in the basement included a small gym, laundry room, work rooms, and a community room. While it is an old building, it's a dorm most freshmans opt for so it was fairly easy to make friends in the building. 3. Bathroom: All Stuy suites include a bathroom. Compared to other buildings where you have to share the bathroom with the whole floor, I only had to share with 4 other people. 4. Location: Not too far from campus. As mentioned, since it is a freshman dorm a lot of the times you walk to campus/dorm with other freshmans which definitely helped me feel safe when I first moved in 2016."

"The dorm is very average but the main pro of this dorm is the location since it is right above the uc building. This is very convenient to get to classes."

"Living here was overall a good experience. Pros: A 5 to 8-minute walk to the University Center, a 24-hour open grocery market directly across the street, and many restaurants, cafes, Hmart, and St. Marks Street are nearby. The area is pretty safe on the busy corner of 3rd Ave and 12th Street. The basement has a spacious lounge area with desks and quiet rooms to work in. There are also two soundproofed piano rooms. Next to the lounge area is the laundry room, and its price per wash and dry is cheap. The mailroom is on the first floor and there is a security guard with a camera at the front desk 24/7. Cons: The building is older than other dorms, so cockroaches and mice may come out occasionally. The ventilation is not the best, so opening the windows to allow fresh air is recommended. The area around is quite busy most of the time, so it's hard to find a time when there is no traffic noise. Overall, great location, but a bit on the older side. "

"The dorms are new, and because of that the rooms and amenities are extremely clean. All internal appliances work great, such as hot water, kitchen appliances, heat, etc. Each dorm consists of a suite of either 4, 5, or 6 people, and have a shared bathroom (2 bathrooms in room of 6). Each room has its own control from heat and AC. The bathroom consists of a standing shower, toilet, sink, and storage mirror. The kitchen consists of a microwave, full sized fridge, and a stove. The rooms are not too spacious, but not necessarily small for NYC. Each floor has a lounge that is accessible to anyone in the building. The bottom two levels consist of a cafe, laundry room (free), gym, bike storage, art studio, mailroom, and private practice rooms. The security is overall very nice and helpful, but a few are just generally rude. The maintenance staff is efficient and responds to work orders fairly quickly. The dorm, since being so new, has no plans in place for when anything goes wrong, and expect things to go wrong. But other than the occasional issues this dorm is a comfortable space and definitely a more luxurious dorm."
