Is Gooch/Dillard the best dorm at UVA?
Students rated Gooch/Dillard a 2.6/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Far away from classes and crowded; six students for one bathroom. The rooms themselves were very large and nice quality, but it's hard to socialize outside your suite. Not the best experience but it's livable.
Gooch/Dillard is far from central grounds, but is where the bus goes first so rainy days aren’t too bad. The stairs are annoying, but the rooms are slightly bigger than any other first year dorms, and the perk of having a private (shared between you and 5 other people) common room and bathroom is a pretty cool perk. There is A/C and it is relatively quiet since all hallways are outdoors. Also, Runk is super close (especially to people in Dillard), and Tendy Time was a great way to meet people during games (since the grill usually only had chicken tenders after hours).
