Is San Rafael the best dorm at UCSB?
Students rated San Rafael a 4/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
very close to dining hall and isla vista as well as the beach, a little further than other dorms from classes
I lived in the San Raf Tower F6 and the view was gorgeous. And a suite with some good friends was pretty sweet.
Wonderful location, small but manageable rooms. The RAs take their job a little too seriously, going as far as to knock on my door at midnight and accuse me of smoking weed because they smelled it in our general hallway. But if you don’t break the rules it is convenient as you are near campus and IV.
Close to lecture halls, Isla Vista, and dining halls, San Rafael is the place to be. Make sure to take advantage of the pool nearby.
San Raf is a really great dorm to live with if you have established friends. The suite style of living allows you to share a bathroom and living room with your friends. It’s super close to IV as well. Would highly recommend for 2nd years.
