Is University Village Phase 2 the best dorm at Cal Poly Pomona?
Students rated University Village Phase 2 a 3/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
The village is for second years and older. This phase includes four singles. As soon as you enter the apartment, you see the living room connected to the kitchen, and one hall where all four rooms are located. The benefit with the village is no mandatory meal plan, but the con with that is completely independent meal planning and prepping, The first room is the largest (almost 1.5 x larger than all the other rooms), given the option I would recommend that room first. The other rooms are smaller, all have windows and centralized air vents for cooling and heating. Also, the apartment comes furnished with a bed frame, adequate closet space, a dresser, a desk, and a bookshelf. The apartment itself comes with a laundry room that you can use for free, a rec center, a basketball court, and a swimming pool. The location of the apartment is unbeatable, just a street away from campus. The price for one single is on the relatively higher side in comparison to the off-campus houses and apartments available, but I like to think it's for the convenience of being so close to campus. I hope you never have to deal with the Village administration because they are quite rude, overbearing, disrespectful, and lethargic. The area is not the safest, but most college campuses run with that risk.
