Chadbourne is one of the best dorms for freshmen, mostly because of the location. You're right in the middle of campus, super close to classes and State Street, and there's a dining hall and convenience store built in, which is a big plus—especially in the winter. The rooms are definitely on the smaller side, but the common areas on each floor help make up for it. It's a good mix of social and quiet, so you can meet people without feeling overwhelmed
