    Residence Hall West

    based on 1 review

I attended in 2018 and when I went my experience was mostly positive. The dorms themselves are divided amongst three roommates each with their own separate room, a shared shower and bathroom, and for the most part I was pretty happy with it. The only thing I have to note is that it's the furthest residence hall from main campus, so it was a pretty far walk each day to class. - 1 year ago

    South

    based on 1 review

All the McDermotts and honors kids live in South, so it makes for quite the interesting culture. Plenty of study space, clean rooms, you can make the rooms feel like home with nice decor and personal choice. - 2 years ago

    University Village (UV)

University Village (UV) at UT Dallas

Depending on which phase of UV you are living in, your location is either really close to campus or a little bit further away. Regardless, I think the walking distance from your apartment to campus should not be more than 10-15 minutes.
UV is not as nice as Canyon Creek Heights but it does have a cozy vibe to it (and UV comes unfurnished so you need to buy your own furniture). Most apartments are carpeted but they are slowly changing them starting from Phase 1 to wood floors. If there are any issues with your apartment, submit a work order and maintenance people usually don't take long to solve the issue!
I've been living at UV for almost a year and I feel safe and really like it so far. - 2 years ago

    University Commons

    based on 1 review

Pros: Dorm rooms had convenient layout with a good balance of privacy and being close with your friends/classmates. They were fully furnished three-bedroom suites, with each of us getting our own sinks, a separate room for the shower, and separate room for the toilet. Downstairs had a kitchen, recreation area (ping pong, pool, etc.), and classrooms that were ocassionally used. The entire UTD campus is not huge so it wasn't a long walk to any of the classes

Cons: Not many but I think it's slightly pricier than University Village. Would've been nicer if it was closer to the cafeteria - 2 years ago
