"I got a suite. So, I had a lot of comfortable space for myself. However, the bathrooms and common area really depends on your suite-mates and/or roommates. One of my suite-mates was super friendly, considerate, and caring. Another suitemate was super dirty and brought many strangers into the suites. So, it was overall a very bad experience for me. But I have also met a lot of students living in this dorm. So, I would still recommend dorming, even if it's here, at least once in your life. " - 1 year ago

"Stayed in a triple in Wilkeson Quad 4th Floor back when it was still the Engineering floor (2018-2019): Randomly assigned roommates, had some bad experiences but ended up with really good memories and a nice experience overall. The RAs would occasionally host events, and they were mostly fun to attend and socialize with others.
Heaters were barely working at the time, and the condition of the floor bathrooms depends on the students (janitors and maintenance were fairly good at their job)

The food:
The Bowl had some nice soup options (when it was open), there would usually be a line for late night meals on Friday nights at Sizzles (the chicken!!!), was a fan of the sliders, the mashed bowls (inflation made it less worth), and some of the sandwiches were decent. Wrap it Up was not entirely bad for a morning meal (but also opened early). As for Guac and Roll, their steak and fish options were my go-to for whenever I stopped by, and Hubies was usually a disappointment when ordering pizza. The Elli was a lifesaver at times due to their snacks for late night cram sessions (they do offer storage options for the summer), and there were vending machines throughout the complex. Perks usually has really good ice cream (would stop by throughout the years for it) and some items from the Starbucks menu.

The location was a decent walk from the Academic Spine (10-15 mins) and the shuttle usually stops by (North-South, bus to Asia Food Market on Tuesdays, Mall Market buses on Fridays and Saturdays-or when it was still running frequently). Wilkeson had a medium sized laundry room, and usually there's not much of a shortage problem when doing laundry (but then again I usually did my laundry in the middle of the night) and the seating area came with a TV-people would occasionally play Smash or watch movies on it, and more vending machines or a table to study at. The Blake study center was a few yards away and convenient to study at during exam season and for work study students (easy work). There are also classrooms upstairs that students would study in during the middle of the night or when unoccupied.

"Probably the most confusing dorm on campus- next to ellicot- but makes it very easy for freshmen to build community!

Pros:
-Each hallway has a study lounge that connects it to the rest of the group you'll be apart of. These lounges are open but still private, making it easy to study alone while still being open to conversation.
-While the architecture of governors will be extremely confusing the first couple weeks, the winding paths through each lounge of every Hall makes it soooo easy to make friends. This is precisely the reason my transition into college as a freshman went so well. I have the strongest friendships I've ever had.
-Freshman only dorm, so youll always be able to relate to your Hall-Mates
-Dining center inside the building
-Has its own gym
-Can order food online from "The Cellar" in the basement
-Huge game-room in the basement
-Big laundry room
-Can reach everything it offers from inside
-Close to NSC
-Bus to South goes here
-YOU GET YOUR OWN CONVENIENCE STORE
-Volleyball net outside

Cons:
-As much as I've praised Govs for its setup, it genuinely is so confusing. The maps don't make sense and you will not find your room easily on move-in day. Good luck.
-Old building

"Richmond is a lot nicer compared to many of the other buildings in Ellicott, and it was renovated not too long ago. The location is great, and easily accessible from multiple areas. The dorms feel small but are quite roomy and the lounges are nice and big. I recommend getting a mattress topper and another light for your room, because the beds are not the best and the lamps are really dim. Sometimes they lock the kitchen if it’s too dirty, so don’t rely on having it too much. Every bathroom is different but they’re are pretty good and the janitors try to clean most of the mess. Shower’s tend to get clogged and overflow so bring shower shoes that are platformed. " - 9 months ago

"Definitely the best dorm on campus- it's like living in a hotel.

Pros:
-Modern gorgeous architecture
-Private bathroom to share with roommates
-Big windows = Lots of natural light
-Most dorms here just have lamps for unnatural light- Greiner has super bright wall lights
-Cafe on first floor
-Lots of study spaces
-So much space in the rooms
-Free toilet paper from the front desk
-Provided desks are spacious and great for studying
-Pretty well sound proofed
-Close to c3 dining center

Cons:
-Being in your room means less community with the dorm if you haven't already found your friend group/are introverted
-People make kitchen's disgusting and stay that way for a while since janitors come around less often
-4 Laundry machines per floor somehow isn't enough
-Has a thermostat, but I'm pretty sure it just lies. My thermostat is set to 55, but the room is always 70 degrees+" - 10 months ago
