"super convenient location; right by the 459 (but they closed it during my spring semester smh) and most of the science buildings. i love the big window and the walk in closets (they’re great if you’re uncomfortable changing in front of your roommate). the building is kinda nasty and very dusty, and the AC went out several times. also a water pipe burst above my floor and most of the floor flooded. the rooms are small but you get used to it. the library in acadian is a great study spot and the courtyard is beautiful. pick a room with an even number and you’ll get a slightly nicer view of “unity field” instead of the parking lot. decent parking for lsu. "I loved the location. It's close to the quad, Tiger Stadium, and Mike the Tiger. However, it is definitely one of the older dorms on campus. I liked that it was gate, but it made it annoying when your hands are full. The individual doors do not lock automatically and have actual keys as opposed to just swiping your card. I was in one of the female stacks and on the same floor as our RA, meaning I shared a restroom with six other girls. The restroom is literally a one person bathroom; one toilet stall, one shower stall, and one sink. It is definitely inconvenient and annoying having to wait for other girls to get out of the shower.
If you end up in this dorm, it is not the end of the world since you don't spend a lot of time there anyway. I mainly used it for sleeping. I spent most of my time in the library or in the quad doing HW or studying." See all 1 reviewNumber 8

"Beds were super fucking small, rooms were hilariously small and the buildings were kinda run down. Better shape than the dorms though
It wasn’t terrible" See all 1 reviewNumber 7

"The rooms were big in my opinion. I liked having my own AC/heater unit. The two big windows were nice. There is also a ceiling fan. Anytime the door closed, you could hear it from your room. I lived on the bottom floor of a stack, so moving things into my room wasn’t too hard. I think it was definitely more difficult if you lived on the third floor of the stack (going up many stairs). I did like the unique set up of the overall dorm. The courtyard is really nice. The buildings are pretty old, so there are facility problems often. The bathroom is private, but you have to share it with at most 7 other people. You do have the option to go to the other bathrooms in your stack. It is definitely something to get used to. I really like the location in terms of the Quad, the dining hall, and Highland Road. It’s a long walk to the UREC however. There is a large parking lot that is shared with some other dorms and the apartments, but I liked having that option better than the East side of campus where parking lots were scattered and smaller." "This dorm was one of the nicer ones on campus when I was a freshman. However the rooms are a small space to be sharing with another person and the bathroom was suite style and was always locked by suitemates. Sink space was very small for 2 girls, especially since it could really only fit both of our toothbrushes and hairbrushes. Closets were nice for the space but def buy drawers for under the bed for extra storage. Location is pretty terrible since it corners Alaska and aster (dangerous streets and they found multiple dead bodies by the dorm the year I stayed there). If you are female you were required to stay on the fourth floor. You do get the chance to take classes on the bottom floor which was really nice. Shares spaces outside of room were often locked and had terrible, cheap, uncomfortable and torn up furniture. Walls were pretty thin so you could hear other conversations and activities. Have headphones. Fire alarms also go off often. Using the kitchen was a pain due to having to hike up a hill to rent pots and pans and then return them. Back door to dorm was broken so anyone could get in. Game days are an experience." See all 2 reviews

"There are a few study rooms and also a few floor lounges where you can change scenery wile you get work done. The building is very new and feels very secure. The dorm is really far from where most classes are held." See all 1 review

"Well, it's got an open floor plan, construction surrounds it, but it's right next to a dining hall and near the center of campus" See all 1 review

"Huge rooms with suite bathrooms, however it’s an old building. Expect cold tile for floors and cinderblocks for walls. Once you get pas the prison cell, this can be an amazing dorm with some decoration and a rug. My roommate and I never felt on top of each other if you arrange the area right." See all 1 review

"Lived here 2018-2019 & 2019-2020 in Oxbow Hall, hands down best place to live on campus. Very pricey, but you pay for a nice location and good rooms. Anything broken or problematic can be resolved very quickly by Reslife. Definitely get a mattress topper if you live here. Living with a friend(s) makes it much better and we had parties all the time (if your RA isn't wack).
The only downside was that the first year I was here, about a dozen to 20 cars were broken into all in one night. Since it's on the North side of campus you may have some sketch incidents but I never felt unsafe there. 100% live here if you can." See all 2 reviewsNumber 1

"The dorms are very nice and the RAs don’t care what you do at all. Having your own bathroom is super nice too." See all 1 review
