Best RPI Dorms

"The most standard of dorms possible. It’s not glamorous and its not fancy, but I never had an issue living there."

"Freshman Hill monolith. It was pretty clean and new when I got there! Bathroom options included shared among your wing and private en-suite, shared with the room next door. I had an en suite bathroom, though I heard the shared one wasn't so bad."

"There are large singles and small singles- I had a large. Everyone who ever came into that room told me how cute it was. There’s two large windows, AC and heat, and plenty of space to move around. The only part I didn’t like was the bathrooms. There’s two stalls shared between 12 people, which can become a hassle in the morning. Some people were extremely messy. Also, I was unfortunate in that we didn’t have enough girls to split the bathrooms by gender, so I had to deal with beard clippings and pubes everywhere. The awful bathroom was absolutely worth it for the room and distance to campus."

"Moderate-sized dorms, convenient bathrooms, and great study rooms where students are able to improve their academics."

"Warren is spilt in half with a wall that acts as a 2 closets on one side and a peg board on the other. It feels like 2 singles and the in-room bathroom is really convenient. the room is larger than double rooms in bray, cary, etc. but the wall in the middle doesn’t really make it feel like that. the room is great day to day but it’s not great for having friends over. the lounge isn’t great but there are other places to study. the biggest downside is no ac. Warren is definitely one of the best dorms for freshmen "
