  • Number 3

    Los Alamitos Hall

    Los Alamitos Hall at CSULB

"I lived on the third floor of Los Alamitos. It was an all-girls floor. I loved my time here. The room is pretty new and spacious. The top two floors have a study room and there's a lot of seating on the first floor. The bathroom is nice but throughout the year, it got humid in there. There is only one kitchen in the entire building. I didn't have a problem with sharing it usually but sometimes it would be hard to cook around so many people. The laundry system is alright here as long as you do it on not-so-busy days. " - 1 year ago

    Beachside

"I lived on the first floor in the Beachside Pacific building's west wing. Overall I think Beachside is one of the best dorm buildings CSULB has to offer, especially if you don't want to live directly on campus and/or be able to meet a lot of different people. It was nice having AC during the hotter months, even if it made the room chilly some nights. The rooms and building were clean and not too old, with the exception being the joint bathroom, which had layers of paint falling off and a shower that wasn't the cleanest. The overhead fluorescent lights and white cinderblock walls gave a kind of prison/insane asylum feeling, especially when I pulled long nights in the common room working on assignments. The common room was spacious and accommodated a lot of residents, so I spent a lot of time there for studying and socializing. The rooms were also spacious enough if you lived in a double. I, however, lived in a triple. The bunk beds and extra desk made the room cramped and at times uncomfortable, especially with all three desks and the sink all being on the same side of the room. Parking was never an issue, and I felt safer parking in our gated lot than I would the street." - 1 year ago

    Hillside at CSULB

"The dorm building is a bit of a walk from the rest of campus where classes are but is right next to a shuttle bus stop which is convenient! There is a common room you can meet people at in each building, but not much else going on in the building aside from that (there is also a little laundry room basement which looks like the set from SAW but it’s useable I guess). The rooms have a decent amount of room and spaces you could put stuff in along with a little fridge, but unfortunately lacks AC which can be killer. A decent dorm though overall and you can definitely decorate to make it more cozy :)" - 1 year ago
