The dorms were very outdated and there is no AC so it was brutal during the heatwave. Also the walls are very thin and you can hear everything! - 1 year ago

Hillside
based on 3 reviews
Hillside Village doesn't have the most modern buildings out of the dorms at CSULB, but they are suitable for living and for business students, the dorms are very close to the COB. Depending on which building you choose, it may be a shorter or longer walk to the food court but isn't excessive. The only complaints are the lack of an individual AC system in the dorm rooms and the peculiar laundry room. Otherwise, I had an enjoyable experience living at Hillside. - 1 year ago

Beachside

We have private bathrooms unlike some of the on-campus dorms. A community feel. Very friendly. You know everyone at Beachside, unlike huge on-campus dorms. It's a little family especially if you hang out in the common room! - 1 year ago

Parkside North
based on 3 reviews
It was a very comfortable situation. At times it didn’t really feel like a dorm as much as it felt like a WeWork building. But it had AC in the rooms and spaces to hang out. Overall very good would say it’s worth the price - 1 year ago

Los Alamitos Hall
based on 1 review
I lived on the third floor of Los Alamitos. It was an all-girls floor. I loved my time here. The room is pretty new and spacious. The top two floors have a study room and there's a lot of seating on the first floor. The bathroom is nice but throughout the year, it got humid in there. There is only one kitchen in the entire building. I didn't have a problem with sharing it usually but sometimes it would be hard to cook around so many people. The laundry system is alright here as long as you do it on not-so-busy days. - 1 year ago
