Oakes Dolores Huerta Building Reviews

If you go to UCSC you'll know that it's split up into 10 different colleges and Oakes is either loved or forgotten. I made a list to help make your decision...

CONs of living in Oakes:
-no elevators so its frustrating moving in/out if you're on the 2nd or 3rd floor
-Farthest from Science hill, Bookstore, and OPERS(gym)
-D-hall in RCC so you have to walk up a LOT of stairs to get to it
-laundry rooms don't have a lot of machines (still in the building tho)
-last stop on bus when coming back from Downtown unless you're on the 15 or 19
-City Buses usually full by the time they're there
-No common area
-No mirrors in dorm (bring your own)

PROs:
-has a lower lawn with a great view of Monterey Bay
-Closest to treehouse
