47 Buswell, room 10. Where to begin? First things first, the room is not that much bigger compared to your average room in any of the three large dorms (in my case, Towers). In fact, it might actually be a bit smaller. There were several mysterious stains on the carpet when I moved in, and they were still there when i moved out. The heater; you cannot control it whatsoever. The polar express-esque steam whistle ensured that it was as loud as it was excessively boiling for the entire winter. I still have a picture on my phone of my thermometer, showing 81 degrees with 16% humidity. The windows remained open for the entire year (yes, even during snowstorms). There is a single bathroom (one shower, one toilet) on every floor, each shared by...

Honestly not bad. I lived in 33 Buswell. The format of the room is a bit strange as you have to walk through one double to get to the other one, but the space is alright. There was a cockroach problem early on which sucked. But second semester it was ok after BU housing fixed it.

I really enjoyed living in South. It was super quiet, but is still close enough to campus to not be isolating. My single was bigger than the double I had in west campus. Although I didn’t have air conditioning, it was never too hot or too cold. The only thing I don’t enjoy about my dorm is that the laundry room only takes coins, and that there are no vending machines in my building. If I want food or water, I must walk to city co, which is not a huge deal, but certainly an inconvenience. Overall, I would highly recommend living in South.

The doubles In 48 buswell are tiny they’re basically the same size as warren doubles maybe slightly bigger. Very close to campus and lots of stores/ restaurants, but that’s kind of where the positives end. All beds are bunked when you arrive and unbunking low key makes the room a fire hazard and facilities apparently doesn’t loft beds in south.

My room at 11 Buswell was huge and beautiful, with a fireplace (out of use) and 3 large windows. The bathrooms were well-kept and there was 1 per floor with only 3 rooms so it felt more like sharing with suitemates than a true shared bathroom. The whole building really had a great vibe. I was on the 3rd floor with no elevator so moving in was awful, but overall living there was a great experience. 7minute walk to CAS or Warren Dining Hall, 8 minute walk to Bay State Dining Hall, or 10min walk to CFA -- the location is hard to beat. South is also located close to Fenway, Kenmore, and Brookline so you still get a city feel. Cons: laundry in the basement is coin-op so you have to walk down to 44 Buswell to do laundry using Convenience Points....

33 Buswell was cramped and the bathrooms were shared by each floor, but overall, the building itself was far nicer than many of the other brownstones nearby.

44 Buswell, right on top of the laundry room + 2 washers and dryers in the basement. Single was nice and quiet and private, though the wood walls made it feel a bit old and you might wanna wipe the whole room down before unpacking/settling in. My room had a cupboard on top of the ‘walk in’ wardrobe and dresser which made for plenty storage space. Just be weary that heating will be a bit weird/inconsistent especially during the inbetween months, always kept a window slightly propped open with the fan blowing cold air into the room because the heaters sometimes had a tendency to overheat the room. Close to kenmore/sci buildings and brookline/fenway and a lot less streets to cross going into west campus. Honestly a great place to live since it...

I love south campus. It’s nice and quiet with little security. There are multiple full bathrooms that you share with the other residents on your floor (at least in my building) that are cleaned everyday. The only complaints I have is that it gets warm on the upper floors and there’s no elevator in the buildings so you’ll get your steps in. Overall though, I’ve had a great experience here!

42 Buswell, room 508, massive room, two closets, only shared bathroom with 1 other person. Laundry was next door, but it was a sweet gig. A little hot on the top floor.
