Hardey Reviews

Hardey is the best dorm on Newton campus for freshmen. It is close to the dining hall and bus stops, and you don’t have to walk up the hill to get to them. The room was significantly bigger than the dorm rooms on Upper campus - there was ample room to line up the bed, dresser, and desk along the wall. There is no A/C, but the windows are large and easily fit two box fans. Guests are not monitored (I.e. nobody has to check them in, the RAs won’t comment on them unless you are being disruptive/loud). The communal bathrooms were the cleanest communal bathrooms I have seen at BC, other than the usual filth from your floor mates (hair balls in the shower, occasional unflushed toilet, eternal toothpaste in sinks) They were fairly updated and new.... Definitely the best location on Newton, and Newton is the best freshman campus, so it really doesn't get better than this. Marco the RD is a great guy.
