    Chapel Glen

    based on 2 reviews

Elevator was broken a bunch but the hallways and common rooms were always pretty clean. Definitely big enough when there were 2 of us in one room. Bathrooms have a bunch of storage space, but the toilet was put in a stall like a literal public bathroom so that was weird. - 2 years ago

    Kahlert Village

    based on 2 reviews

I was in a double cluster room, and there was plenty of space for both me and my roommate. The thermostat worked great but the controls were awful, and the beds even without a dedicated topper were relatively comfortable. The worst part has to be the people. Constant fire alarms during the winter, routine vandalism, constant bathroom drama, the works. There was even a scourge of bike theft at the beginning of the school year, which the administration was entirely powerless to stop or make any progress on returning people's items. And yet at the same time, many of the rules seemed overbearing for the average student, especially quiet hours rules, depending on your RA or the RAs on duty. That's a problem every HRE dorm is going to have, so recognizing that, this is still the best freshman residential area on campus. - 1 year ago

Sage Point at University Of Utah

Pretty easy going place. Meal plans are tricky. The rooms have great water pressure, the WiFi is reliable and they have accessible Ethernet ports. Lots of space to do homework. The washer and dryer are included in housing costs. The elevator in the building is reliable. - 2 years ago

    Marriott Honors Community (MHC)

    based on 1 review

The MHC is definitely one of the best places to live on campus! It is an apartment style dorm that is a 4 roommate shared space or an 8 roommate shared space with 2 floors. It is restricted to upper classmen and Honor students only. Because Kahlert is right across from it, parking is limited and you can park on the small lot or in the garage across the street depending on your parking permit.

It is part of lower campus so it is very accessible to the library and walking to class within a 10-20 minute range depending on the building. It is right across the Student Life Center and if you choose to have a meal plan, Kahlert's dining hall is less than a 2 minute walk or you can access the Honors Market on the first floor for an easy snack or meal using your Flex Dollars or Meal Transfers. A meal plan is not required to live in MHC because you have access to a kitchen that you share with your roommates. They offer single and double bedrooms and you share a bathroom with 1 other person. There is a large living room space with a couch and 2 arm chairs as well an island in the kitchen with a microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and oven + stovetop provided.

If you are an honors student, I recommend trying to find a room in the MHC. Truly one of the best apartment dorms and easy for walking to your classes! - 2 years ago
