    Sanford Hall

Sanford Hall at University of Minnesota

I lived in an expanded triple. There was no air conditioning, but it was only bad for the first few weeks in the fall. I liked the layout of the halls being H-shaped with the elevators and bathrooms in between. It kinda made it hard to meet others, but I later found out my floor was way less social than other floors. Beds were fine, but I also had a mattress topper from Target. The dining hall was good, better than most on campus. It has been renovated since I lived in Sanford. They also have a C-store which is like a mini convenience store. I definitely used my flexdine on Ben and Jerry's from there. Overall really glad I lived in Sanford, especially with the campus bus route right outside the building and it was close to target express, coffee shops, etc. - 4 years ago

    Frontier Hall

Not the nicest dorm at the University but it’s cozy and overall clean. Bathroom could be improved. Had a good experience living there. - 2 years ago

    Comstock Hall

    based on 1 review

The location is great for East Bank. like a 5 minute walk from Bruinicks and Northrop Mall where most classes are. My double room was very nice and spacious. The bathrooms at times were nasty but were always cleaned pretty quickly. - 1 year ago

    Middlebrook Hall

    based on 3 reviews

    Pros:
    - For double rooms, only have to share bathroom with one other room (so total of 4 people to a bathroom)
    - Nice view of the city and the Mississippi from some rooms and the lounges
    - Has two practice rooms (one with a piano), a couple of study rooms, and a pool table
    - Great location if you are in Carlson or have other West Bank classes
    - Quieter environment that is usually good for studying; still plenty of opportunities to meet people though with various floor events and groups

    Cons:
    - Many reports of cockroaches, especially in the upper floors
    - Printers worked rarely
    - Not an ideal location if you have classes in St. Paul
    - Washing machines are small and laundry area gets busy during the weekends
    - Dining hall is meh; if you are vegetarian or vegan you will have extremely limited options

Middlebrook has a bad rep for housing the Honors LLC but I had a good experience here. I made good friends and great memories and I benefited from its location on West Bank. - 2 years ago

    Territorial Hall

I lived in the Carlson LLC. I 100% recommend that to anyone in Carlson. I met most of my friends through that. Overall, T Hall is the party dorm, and while it isn't as new as Pio or 17th, if you want to meet a lot of people, then I recommend T Hall. - 3 years ago

    Pioneer Hall

    based on 1 review

Pioneer hall is definitely one of the best halls on campus. It's right next to campus and because it's in superblock it's very easy to socialize - 11 months ago
