Ranking the Dorms at Texas A&M

    Dunn Hall

Featured student reviewI didn't spend much time in Dunn Hall. It's not fancy, but it's a bed. You should know that as of Spring 2020 there are no closet doors, and the closet is this particular green color. Rooms aren't large, big enough for me and my roommate to have our own 5x7 rugs. Beds can be lofted, but don't have to be. I had one roommate, and two suite mates. We all shared a bathroom. Bathroom is a little dark, but totally usable. Bathroom locks from both sides. Walls are a little thin, but as long as no one is yelling, it's fine. Huge courtyard in the middle is great for late night study breaks. Fun community, active on group me. Lived in Dunn 2 years, would have stayed if they had singles. - 4 years ago

    Hullabaloo Hall

Featured student reviewBeautiful dorm complex with an attached Starbucks. The rooms are alright but the amenities including a study room and kitchen/common spaces make this dorm the best at A&M. This is also the newest dorm on campus. - 2 years ago

    Walton Hall

Featured student reviewThe dorm is small and cramped so know what you're getting before signing up for it. The main pros, however, are excellent. Walton dorms are one of the cheapest dorms on campus and they are located at a very convenient location. - 1 year ago

    Eppright

Featured student reviewIt’s a solid modular dorm, closest one to the southside garage so it’s convenient if you know you’ll drive a lot. Building just got new washers and dryers and a kitchen over this past summer. Overall the dorm room itself is really nice, plus semi-private bathroom. - 2 years ago

    McFadden

Featured student reviewLived here freshman year as required in university honors. The rooms are all doubles and have an included bathroom which is great. The bathroom was cleaned once a week on a designated day. Tons of closet space as well, and the room itself was very spacious. Only one window so not a lot of natural light. The wifi was good and there were enough outlets so no issues there. The bathroom had a sink open to the room and the shower / toilet in a small room next to it. The shower head was not head, bad water pressure and pretty low (I am 5’6” and was almost as tall as where the shower head was). Only other con was no storage space in the bathroom so bring your own or put stuff in the closet. The building itself is okay. It is in a great location, close to Sbisa and Hullaballoo and an east walk to most freshman classes. Older building with no elevators and the kitchen/lounge was very outdated. If you spend most time in your room that isn’t really an issue. Overall a good dorm and if you are going to be living in honors it is worth it. Lechner is the exact same. - 2 years ago

    Appelt Hall

Featured student reviewAbout as close as you can get to the commons and anywhere on central campus is walkable. Also close to the parking garage and mosher, so moving in is really easy! - 2 years ago

    Clements

Featured student reviewClement's is on the north side of campus and is close to many dining options. You get your own bathroom and the rooms are spacious. Plenty of storage as well. I honestly don't have any complaints. - 4 months ago

    Mosher Hall

Featured student reviewMosher hall was renovated around 2017. I was a freshman there in 2020. This hall connects with other 3 halls. Mosher is a part of the engineering cluster. The rooms and bathrooms are really new just make sure you like your roommates because the room is small but enough space. Don’t pick the basement or the 4th floor because it’s so much stairs. Laundry room in every floor and hallway. - 2 years ago

    Haas Hall

Featured student reviewThe dorm really suffers from its age and age related issues. There is rust in a couple places and not everything is in the best shape. The layout is really spacious, except for the bathroom which is a bit cramped. The location is great. If you have a car I suggest registering early so you can park in the parking lot right next to the dorm. - 2 years ago

    Wells Hall

Featured student reviewOne of the bigger dorms at Texas A&M. Has a private restroom area. Very spacious. Many closets for clothes and other belongings. Close to Dining Hall, Aggie Express, and Southside Rec. Short walk to most classes. I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else. - 9 months ago
