Haas Hall Reviews

Texas A&M University North Side

Reviews Summary

Haas Hall is conveniently located close to classes and key campus facilities, making it an ideal place for students looking to save time and transportation costs. Residents appreciate the spacious rooms that allow for natural light and the added benefit of private bathrooms, which are cleaned weekly by custodial staff. Although the dorm suffers from some age-related issues like rust, the spacious layout compensates for it, aside from the slightly cramped bathrooms. The strategic location places Haas Hall near important buildings such as Sbisa Dining Hall and the MSC, fostering a bustling social environment. However, the dorm does have limited storage space and some rooms, especially those facing Hullabaloo, are smaller in comparison. The community atmosphere makes it easy to engage in social events and collaborative learning, but the shared spaces can lead to noise and diminished privacy. Those who own cars are advised to register early for parking. Overall, Haas Hall offers a positive living experience with the trade-offs typical of campus life.

Living at Haas was pretty enjoyable. It was in close proximity to a lot of buildings such as Sbisa (Dining Hall) and the MSC (Center of campus). Having my own bathroom was a bonus as well - custodial workers cleaned it once every week. Be prepared to live with a roommate. Overall a very positive living experience!

I loved living in Haas! Big rooms with natural light and private bathrooms. Also close to everything happening on campus.

The dorm really suffers from its age and age related issues. There is rust in a couple places and not everything is in the best shape. The layout is really spacious, except for the bathroom which is a bit cramped. The location is great. If you have a car I suggest registering early so you can park in the parking lot right next to the dorm.

Rooms facing Hullabaloo are much smaller in square footage than rooms facing McFadden. Really good location because it puts you inbetween heldenfels and the ILCB/ILSQ. Good access to Northgate if that's your thing. Also right next to Sbisa and the Underground. 2 people to a room that share a bathroom, community kitchen is meh.
