Roserans

The residence hall does not have any air conditioning, which was painful throughout my year in the dorm, especially when I moved into the dorm in August. Rosecrans is known as of the two worst dorms on campus, which is accurate. Ping Pong paddles were broken and/or not even in common area of building. Washrooms often dirty and the dorm manages to attract UNIVERSITY STUDENTS who have a lower toilet flush rate than a 3 year old. Right next to a beach volleyball court, which is a pro and a con. It is nice to have a place to play a sport so close but people can be obnoxiously loud while playing at times. - 2 years ago

McKay

It was generally a good dorm. I prefer a private rather than collective bathroom, that is why I chose this dorm. The building is quite old, so there are far more modern dorms in LMU. However, in terms of comfort, I really liked this dorm. There is a laundry room in each floor except for the first floor, so 8/10 there will always be a slot. There is also elevator in one end of the building so moving things up and down is not that difficult. There is also a restaurant in the first floor so food is easy access. The only thing that is inconvenient is that its location is quite far from other freshman dorms. So if you are a freshman living here, you might feel a little isolated from all your friends. It is also quite far from all freshman classes, so there will always be a walk. It close to UHall tho! Overall, I would give this dorm a 7/10. - 3 years ago

Desmond
based on 2 reviews
Desmond was my freshman dorm. The double room was quite spacious, so I never felt too cramped with my roommate. Very useful that we had a sink & medicine cabinet/mirror in our room. I will say though that there were quite a few cons. The building itself is very old, no elevators (difficult especially when moving in/out), no A/C (had to keep the window open for air, but take note light sleepers because the church bell would often interrupt my sleep), and the bathrooms are kind of outdated. - 1 year ago

APT 205 was the best on-campus living experience - bluff view, same floor as the laundry room, and it's a corner apt with close stair access! - 3 years ago
