Roserans
Rated 2 / 5 stars by 2 Loyola Marymount University students
"The residence hall does not have any air conditioning, which was painful throughout my year in the dorm, especially when I moved into the dorm in August. Rosecrans is known as of the two worst dorms on campus, which is accurate. Ping Pong paddles were broken and/or not even in common area of building. Washrooms often dirty and the dorm manages to attract UNIVERSITY STUDENTS who have a lower toilet flush rate than a 3 year old. Right next to a beach volleyball court, which is a pro and a con. It is nice to have a place to play a sport so close but people can be obnoxiously loud while playing at times. "

"It was generally a good dorm. I prefer a private rather than collective bathroom, that is why I chose this dorm. The building is quite old, so there are far more modern dorms in LMU. However, in terms of comfort, I really liked this dorm. There is a laundry room in each floor except for the first floor, so 8/10 there will always be a slot. There is also elevator in one end of the building so moving things up and down is not that difficult. There is also a restaurant in the first floor so food is easy access. The only thing that is inconvenient is that its location is quite far from other freshman dorms. So if you are a freshman living here, you might feel a little isolated from all your friends. It is also quite far from all freshman classes, so there will always be a walk. It close to UHall tho! Overall, I would give this dorm a 7/10."

Desmond
Rated 3.4 / 5 stars by 2 Loyola Marymount University students
"Pros: Rooms are larger than the rest. Lots of space. You have a sink in your dorm room. There is also a ceiling fan in each room. Top floor lounge is spacious and has lots of seats. Very close to everything. I think it’s better than Rosecrans and Whelan. Very cozy and homey in my opinion. I lived here my freshman year and loved it. Cons: very old building, so things are not very modern. shower heads are at an approx. 5’6- 5’7 level, rip tall people. No AC (only a problem when there is really hot weather like high 80s-90s F. Some sinks are boarded up. I think the 150s, 250s, and 350s are boarded up. Some have a wall column that sticks out in the middle that makes the bed awkward, but this isn’t a huge problem. "

"APT 205 was the best on-campus living experience - bluff view, same floor as the laundry room, and it's a corner apt with close stair access!"
