rosecrans is arguably the worst freshman dorm on campus--and its reputation as a party dorm somehow attracts the most inconsiderate, unhygenic people, ESPECIALLY THE GIRLS. the girls bathroom was disgusting all year long, despite the bathroom being cleaned semi-regularly. the walls are so thin you can hear other people's alarms in the morning, as well as almost everyone's conversations in the hallways. if you live on the side facing the parking lot (especially if you're on the first floor), you're located right by the beach volleyball court, which can be noisy and disruptive during practice times. it's also best to just avoid the 4th floor lounge completely, because people have sex there

The residence hall does not have any air conditioning, which was painful throughout my year in the dorm, especially when I moved into the dorm in August. Rosecrans is known as of the two worst dorms on campus, which is accurate. Ping Pong paddles were broken and/or not even in common area of building. Washrooms often dirty and the dorm manages to attract UNIVERSITY STUDENTS who have a lower toilet flush rate than a 3 year old. Right next to a beach volleyball court, which is a pro and a con. It is nice to have a place to play a sport so close but people can be obnoxiously loud while playing at times.
