Roserans
Rated 2 / 5 stars by 2 Loyola Marymount University students
"rosecrans is arguably the worst freshman dorm on campus--and its reputation as a party dorm somehow attracts the most inconsiderate, unhygenic people, ESPECIALLY THE GIRLS. the girls bathroom was disgusting all year long, despite the bathroom being cleaned semi-regularly. the walls are so thin you can hear other people's alarms in the morning, as well as almost everyone's conversations in the hallways. if you live on the side facing the parking lot (especially if you're on the first floor), you're located right by the beach volleyball court, which can be noisy and disruptive during practice times. it's also best to just avoid the 4th floor lounge completely, because people have sex there "

McKay
Rated 3.3 / 5 stars by 1 Loyola Marymount University student
"It was generally a good dorm. I prefer a private rather than collective bathroom, that is why I chose this dorm. The building is quite old, so there are far more modern dorms in LMU. However, in terms of comfort, I really liked this dorm. There is a laundry room in each floor except for the first floor, so 8/10 there will always be a slot. There is also elevator in one end of the building so moving things up and down is not that difficult. There is also a restaurant in the first floor so food is easy access. The only thing that is inconvenient is that its location is quite far from other freshman dorms. So if you are a freshman living here, you might feel a little isolated from all your friends. It is also quite far from all freshman classes, so there will always be a walk. It close to UHall tho! Overall, I would give this dorm a 7/10."

Desmond
Rated 3.4 / 5 stars by 2 Loyola Marymount University students
"Desmond was my freshman dorm. The double room was quite spacious, so I never felt too cramped with my roommate. Very useful that we had a sink & medicine cabinet/mirror in our room. I will say though that there were quite a few cons. The building itself is very old, no elevators (difficult especially when moving in/out), no A/C (had to keep the window open for air, but take note light sleepers because the church bell would often interrupt my sleep), and the bathrooms are kind of outdated."

"Clean, spacious, etc. all u want in a good dorm. Just no kitchen which is sometimes a problem. Good location, except a little far from dining hall but thats about it"

"APT 205 was the best on-campus living experience - bluff view, same floor as the laundry room, and it's a corner apt with close stair access!"
