Is Schoenfeldt Hall the best dorm at University of Portland?
Students rated Schoenfeldt Hall a 4.8/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Schoenfeldt was my home for three years and I loved it. It is a "co-ed" dorm, with men on one wing and women on the other (Fields Hall). All in one, same building, but associated differently...sort of a brother sister thing. It's about a 10 minute walk to main campus, but a 2 minute walk to the gym, so that's what I liked about it. There's a nice chill spot in the back to see the sunset every day and it's very close to a bus stop (to go downtown or St. John's to grab something to eat) and the mailing center (for books and packages). The closest eatery would be the Pilot House, which is also another 10 minute walk. There's a lot of common areas available, a kitchen in the basement, a volleyball court, a basketball court, and a private chapel where weekly masses are held. Common bathrooms are actually super clean and spacious on each floor mainly because it is fairly new. There is also only two private bathrooms on each floor mainly in place for those who are disabled. The air-conditioning is the best during move in since it is super hot in August and they do a pretty good job at turning on the heater during the winter. Overall I had a really pleasant stay and I hope you do, too!
