Is Cougar Village I the best dorm at University of Houston (UH)?
Students rated Cougar Village I a 3.9/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Very nice and cozy. Right next to moody towers for food, study rooms are nice at the end of each floor. Cool, chill vibes
CV1 is the superior Cougar Village. Each floor has a kitchen (microwave, sink, full-sized fridge, microwave) and a water fountain w/ filter. CV2 has neither and looks like the architects just wanted to maximize space instead of giving the building personality. CV1 is older than CV2 so it's worth DEEP CLEANING YOUR DORM AS SOON AS YOU MOVE IN (sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe down the mattress). The higher up you are, the less like you are to have a bug problem. The dust is CAKED on your vents so please put time into cleaning them! Try to clean your bathtub and toilet before using them too. Run your water for a long time because the water tends to turn yellow after long periods of no use. CV1 has a chronic broken door/broken elevator problem but the northside elevator is usually not in use (there's only one of them) and locked behind a door you need to scan your ID to open. Mail drops happen twice a month so if you need something urgent like a lab coat, find someone trustworthy who lives in the area and ask if you can have your stuff delivered to their place and they'll hand it to you. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear people walking by and whatever the rooms next to you/above you are doing.
