"CV1 is the superior Cougar Village. Each floor has a kitchen (microwave, sink, full-sized fridge, microwave) and a water fountain w/ filter. CV2 has neither and looks like the architects just wanted to maximize space instead of giving the building personality. CV1 is older than CV2 so it's worth DEEP CLEANING YOUR DORM AS SOON AS YOU MOVE IN (sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe down the mattress). The higher up you are, the less like you are to have a bug problem. The dust is CAKED on your vents so please put time into cleaning them! Try to clean your bathtub and toilet before using them too. Run your water for a long time because the water tends to turn yellow after long periods of no use. CV1 has a chronic broken door/broken elevator problem but the northside elevator is usually not in use (there's only one of them) and locked behind a door you need to scan your ID to open. Mail drops happen twice a month so if you need something urgent like a lab coat, find someone trustworthy who lives in the area and ask if you can have your stuff delivered to their place and they'll hand it to you. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear people walking by and whatever the rooms next to you/above you are doing."

"Living at CV2 was pretty decent. I had lived in a suite, which was two rooms with two people in each room where we all shared a bathroom. The building itself was pretty modern and on every floor, there were plenty of places for me to study (there were also study rooms on each floor). The downstairs lobby was very roomy with plenty of places to sit and hang out with your friends. There are even two pool tables for people for play whenever."

  • Lofts at University of Houston (UH)

Rated 4.8 / 5 stars by 1 University of Houston (UH) student

"I lived in a 1 bedroom, 1 bath option. Literally my safe haven! Floor to ceiling windows, tons of naturally lights, super quiet actually! I had a great view of downtown Houston until they started building this big ass building which blocked my view. Make sure you know which room number gets the best view!! Don't let them randomly assign you. 420 friendly since I smelled weed on my floor all the time. Rooftop is awesome! You get indoor and outdoor rooftop. No pool. :( no pets but people bring their pets in regardless lol. I don't think they can legally ask if your pet is ESA..? 24 hr doorman. Super duper safe! You need access using your Cougar Card to open the 2 front doors and 1 back door. Key for your room. If you lose the key, its $250 ish to replace it. Yikes! Overall, I loved the lofts :) would live there still if it wasn't $1636/month ish for rent lmao. "
