University of Arizona (U of A) Dorms Ranked
Ranking the best sophomore dorms at University of Arizona (U of A), according to students.
Number 10
Graham-Greenlee
based on 1 review
"The size of the rooms is decent. The stairwells are extremely narrow and there are no elevators, so if you happen to roll your ankle and need crutches like I did.. good luck. Dark, dingy bathrooms full of cockroaches, but you won't find much better at this price point, and I didn't mind it too much. Overall good sense of community and nice location on Highland Ave. My only gripe about the location is its proximity to the marching band practice field, which made for some noisy Saturday mornings." - 4 years ago

Babcock Dorm

"This used to be a hotel and it was transformed into a dorm, from what I was told. I lived here in the 2015/16 school year and it was alright. When it got cold though, there was this gap under the door and it let all the cold air in. Since the heating system is hooked up to all the rooms, a majority of the students have to agree to change from ac to heat, which sucked. I am from California, so I am not used to 30 degree weather lol. Bathroom was shared with one other person and can be awkward, as the locks are only on your side of the dorm and not the bathroom. A little further away from campus compared to other dorms, but the pool they have makes up for it during the summer!" - 3 years ago

La Paz

"Overall the location is great, I would say one of the best locations. But La Paz is lowkey prison vibes. The layout is all hallways and confusing. Not the greatest community in La Paz. Do what excites, Kelly" - 2 years ago

Honors Village
based on 7 reviews
"I was fortunate enough to spend my sophomore and senior years living at the Honors Village. The entire experience, including the warmth shown by Ra and the front desk personnel, was excellent for my sophomore year. But in the spring of 2024, the RAs—and particularly the front desk staff—were worthless.
1. Because the front desk failed to notify their supervisor that my login was not functioning, I was unable to access my mail hub for two months. The comment "She is very busy and she's an undergrad student" was always given when someone asked to speak with their boss directly.
2. Even though the ice maker has been broken for a year, the cafeteria lady won't allow you use it because, in her words, "it's not a part of the dorm."
3. Despite reporting the issue to the front desk, who stated they would speak with the repair man but never did, the TVs remain inoperative on the majority of the floors.
4. Due to a malfunctioning garbage opening, the fifth-floor trash area has an awful odor. Therefore, people simply discard their rubbish on the ground.
5. Literally, the study rooms are never clean. The cleaning lady enters, changes the garbage, and then departs. The floor was filthy, and there was debris everywhere. I once watched a cleaner simply sit there for a few minutes before leaving without doing any cleaning.
6. Make sure you are nearby to receive your meal if it is delivered, or else someone else might eat it.
7. The water dispenser is never working. On the first and second floors, as usual.
In general, I do not support anyone staying here. Neither the employees nor the "amenities" on hand seem to be commensurate with your payment amount. More than $5,000 in rent, yet not a single item is functional or clean. Consider staying someplace else. " - 9 months agoWe collected 7 dorm reviews for Honors Village

Posada San Pedro
based on 1 review
"Pros are that the location is great and the atmosphere of the place is nice. Cons the bathrooms can get a little gross at sometimes. You should expect to share a bathroom with a ton of people and hear the water jugs fall here and there. " - 1 year ago

Árbol de la Vida

"Arbol was a very nice dorm to live in. I had no complaints and the bathrooms were always being cleaned and all dorm rooms are very spacious. There is a gym, pianos, recreation room, full kitchen, and more at your disposal. Very fun dorm to be in and had a great freshman year there" - 1 year ago

Yavapai
based on 1 review
"In my opinion, Yavapai is the most underrated dorm on campus. The rooms are tile not carpet which is great for spills and easy cleanup. The rooms are also very wide and each roommate has enough space on their own side without getting in eachother's way.
Also, it is super central to everything and most things are only a 15 minute walk away at most. You also wake up and our lovely Old Main is only a 2 minute walk from the dorm. " - 1 year agoWe collected 1 dorm reviews for Yavapai

"The walls are a bit thin so you do hear your neighbors. Ac is amazing, and the beds are comfortable enough. A good desk space and closets" - 1 year ago
