    Turner Hall

    based on 4 reviews

"While choosing a dorm, many people say how turner “isn’t social”, and well, they’re right. I honestly didn’t know anyone on my floor. If you want to meet others, you have to go out of your way. Regardless, I loved living there and would do it again. The private bathroom is a HUGE perk, especially the showers. The living room is nice if you want to have a dorm party or movie night with friends. The AC worked great and could be set to whatever you wanted. The laundry rooms were never crowded. There’s only two elevators so they can be slow if you’re on a high floor. Highly recommend! Many others ways to meet people at UC than your dorm." - 4 years ago

    Campus Recreation Center Hall

    based on 2 reviews

    "Pros:
    - Suite-style rooms.
    - Very quiet.
    - Central campus location. It's ~75 yards from the front door to CenterCourt.

    Cons:
    - Not at all social - I met my neighbors on move-in day because my suitemate knew them, and I met the RA, but besides that I didn't meet anyone else who lived there unless I happened to run into another resident on campus.
    - No desk staff. Anything larger than a letter had to be picked up at the desk at Dabney.
    - Small windows.
    - Small common area.
    - No kitchen/ette, just a microwave and a mini-fridge. This may not be a con if you have a dining pass, especially considering CRC's proximity to CenterCourt which is the late-night and weekend dining hall, there aren't even communal stoves/ovens." - 4 years ago

    Marian Spencer Hall

    based on 2 reviews

Marian Spencer Hall at University of Cincinnati

"I don’t have anything to complain, Marian Spencer is a great dorm if you’re up to the more traditional “college housing” with roommates, but you’re not up to sharing the bathroom with the entire hallway.

Plus, it’s well located, right in front of Sigma Sigma, and having a dining hall (OTG) right below us is definitely convenient in the mornings and at night." - 1 month ago

    U Square

    based on 3 reviews

"USquare is the best campus housing I've lived in so far. It's not owned by UC.

    Pros:
    - Natural light - I lived in a corner room with a balcony, but other rooms I visited were also well-lit.
    - Shared living area and bathrooms were fairly spacious.
    - Maintenance was quick to respond to and fix any problems.
    - Washer and dryer in each apartment.
    - Elevators required a building key fob after certain hours.
    - Mail room was locked and had security cameras.
    - Lounge area with a kitchenette, TVs, and some game tables.
    - Gym with ellipticals, treadmills, and weights.
    - Location - the crosswalk to Marketpointe is right out the front door.

    Cons:
    - Under the jurisdiction of CPD, not UCPD, so you can get in a lot more trouble if the cops get called, but people still smoked weed and weren't subtle about it.
    - Weed aside, the halls often smelled bad. Once, it reeked of poop all the way from the far end of the building to the elevators. (Thankfully I couldn't smell it inside my apartment.)
    - Small bedrooms. If they hadn't had two closets, I would think that they were originally intended for one person.
    - Fridge and kitchen storage were barely enough, even though 1/4 of us had a campus dining pass.
    - Unlike UC-owned dorms, the hot water wasn't endless.
    - Packages were left on the floor in the mail room instead of behind a desk.
    - Being on Calhoun St, it's noisy at all hours. Lots of ambulances, motorcycles, pointless honking, etc." - 4 years ago
