I’m going to cry when I have to leave it’s so nice omg. Literally if you get the apartment facing the bay you are the luckiest person in the world it’s absolutely gorgeous. The apartments are modern, working very well, and clean (no bugs yay). Ceilings are super high and beds are comfy. Gym, study area, many places to hang out, water sources, very safe/secure, etc. It feels like a hotel.

I stayed in a single-occupancy 4-bedroom at Anchor House (Unit 8), and honestly, it’s not just the nicest on-campus housing at UC Berkeley—it might be the best across all the UCs right now.
It’s built specifically for transfer students (opened Fall 2024), so traditional 4-year students aren’t eligible. The building is modern, thoughtfully designed, and all apartments are single-occupancy in studio, 2-, 3-, or 4-bedroom layouts. Studios are tough to get—think ADA or serious connections.
There are 14 floors (11 residential), plus cool perks like a huge 2nd-floor patio, a 13th-floor Sun Terrace with amazing views, lounges, and study rooms on every floor, and even an arcade and pool table downstairs. Mail is handled through Amazon-style locker...

Great place for on-campus housing! Some apartments have beautiful views! The apartment rent is expensive. It is pretty close to campus though! Recommend applying for this place.
