Very close to most classes that anyone has. Single and double dorms have plenty of space and everyone is very friendly!
The bathrooms are nice. The rooms are SPACIOUS! Best dorms for engineering and IST students.
Single unrenovated room in Hamilton I absolutely loved it as an introvert. The room was large for one person and the location was great for the gym and the dining hall being two minutes away. The private bathrooms were great, but a few of them were closed for much of the year.
I had a single with a bathroom, which there were only two of in my building. It was pretty bad with tiles falling off the bathroom wall, and it was about 100 square feet. But, it was insanely close to my classes, and I’ve always appreciated that. Can’t say I didn’t enjoy it but I wouldn’t do it again
I loved my single in Hamilton. Super close to all my classes that semester and to the library which was great. I loved my huge window overlooking the courtyard next to Fiji and the heat was pretty good. I loved being so close to the dining commons and barely having to go outside to get there in the winter. It was pretty quiet and never had an issue. Only used the private bathrooms and there is rarely a wait, but some people left hair everywhere which was annoying. There’s a kitchen and hang out area in the basement and oilfield other study rooms throughout the building. Overall great place and I’ll miss it!!
Excellent sized room and furnishings in the room. Only downside was no AC control. I lived on the first floor of Hamilton Hall, so I was a 15 second walk from Waring, which was a huge plus once it got cooler. I was less than 5 minutes away from every class which was a huge plus. And, there is a mixture of private and communal bathrooms on the floor.
Perfect for engineering students as all the classes are a brisk 5 minute walk. Definitely recommend to any student that likes peace and quiet in the dorm.
West has like the perfect balance when it comes to socializing and studying. I personally loved how quiet it was (compared to East) since I occasionally needed to study. The heater is insanely loud and took forever to get used to, but other than that, this housing area was perfect for me. I found it surprisingly easy to make friends that were interested in similar things in my dorm and would usually hang out with them all the time. It is also super close to the library so I could just pop in their in the morning to do homework when I couldn't focus in my room.
Best location on campus, best food. Doesn't come close to renovated dorms. Full of freshmen. Common kitchen sucks.
