Hubbard Hall MSU Reviews
We summarized all 19 reviews with AI for your convenience.
Hubbard Hall at Michigan State University offers a mixed dormitory experience, primarily valued for its suite-style bathrooms and the popular Spartys, a dining spot appreciated for its fried food options located onsite. Standing 12 floors tall, the dorm provides stunning views from upper levels, a feature often highlighted by residents. However, numerous reviews point out significant downsides, such as its relatively remote location far from central campus buildings and downtown, necessitating frequent bus commutes. Students have raised concerns about maintenance issues including mold in bathrooms, water leaks, and an insufficient number of washing machines. The rooms, described as decently sized, suffer from dated and sometimes unclean conditions with complaints about the tiling and furniture. Despite these issues, favorable comments revolve around the ready access to Akers dining hall next door, the convenience of suite-style bathrooms, and a community atmosphere fostered among the residents.

everyone hates hubbard for no reason. lowkey a p nice dorm. suite style bathrooms, best spartys on campus, only like 12 mins from broad and the msu cata station, killer study spaces. plus the view is great on the higher floors. I wake up every morning to the best view on campus
I lived there freshman year in 2019 and lovedddd it. Super close to Akers for the dining hall, my room was really clean and the lobby areas were always very clean. Spartys is awesome and I just loved it there.
The rooms are pretty tacky and gross. All tiled so you need to always clean. Having a bathroom is nice but definitely always was full of mold!
Had a great roommate and terrible suitemates. RA didn't do ANYTHING. Floor was quiet but not judgemental about it
This is the furthest building from anywhere on campus. The rooms are continually way to hot so you have to have a window open at all times of the year. There’s one study room on every floor and all the even number floors have study rooms with couches. If you want to fill your water bottle you have t...
This dorm room is the armpit of campus. The rooms feel like prison cells and the bathrooms are extremely old and disgusting, no matter how hard you try to clean it. The only positive thing about this dorm is the spartys with fried food, everything else is a horrible living experience.
Feels like living in a concrete prison. The bathroom was disgusting when we got there and needed constant maintenance. Walls were not sound insulated at all, meaning I could constantly hear people doing stuff in nearby rooms. Location is really annoying but the bus nearby takes you straight to the m...
Upper floors have a great view and the grille at the sparties is sweet! Bring fans it gets hot cheers
The location is absolutely terrible. It is super far from everything. There is 12 floors and the smallest amount of washers and dryers. People literally go feral in the laundry room. You have to clean your own bathrooms and the rooms are ok. The only thing I liked about Hubbard was the grill downsta...
Building is quite literally crumbling. Mold, bugs, mice, leaks, and other issues. Room was filthy when I moved in. Lower floors are worse for everything, but friends on upper floors still had issues with leaks and ceiling collapses in bathrooms. If you’re lucky enough to get a nicer room, pretty goo...
