A dorm is a dorm, they’re not all gonna be 5 stars, but just because of your pretty and old this building and the rooms are, it deserves a good rating! And the location is superb! But the bathrooms are a little nasty- however it’s a great way to make friends in ur dorm bc you can all complain about the bathrooms together, so in my opinion Gilchrist is perfect
Gilchrist is one of the older dorms on campus. The best thing about it is its location, It is right by Grand River and in one of the more aesthetically pleasing neighborhoods. The room I had was nice and spacious but most of the other rooms there were a little more cramped. One thing I really hated about this dorm was the lack of elevators and ramps. Gilchrist has none. I lived on the second floor so move-in was beyond difficult. The building is unaccessible to wheelchair users. The bathrooms/showers are also horribly old and need to be renovated.
