CKB is a beautiful dorm and in a great location. Other than Balch it is the closest to central campus. Every floor on a building has 30 students including an RA. This is split into six “pods” which is a set of three rooms centered around a shared bathroom. Each pod has two doubles and a single and there are 3 male and 3 female pods. Each floor also has a study lounge at the end of the hall and floors 2/3 have large TV lounges with a kitchen area. There is ping pong and a pool table on the first floor of Bauer and a piano, a large lounge on the first floor of Kay and a small lounge on the first floor of Court. There is also laundry on the first floors of Kay/Bauer. This dorm and Mews are the only two with AC. Court, Kay, and Bauer are all co...

CKB is by far the best dorm of North Campus. Nicely air conditioned rooms and clean bathrooms only shared with four other people. RAs for the most part left students alone, allowing for hangouts in lounges and in rooms late into the night. Lounges and common areas are spacious and are usually quiet enough for a good study space. Only downside to the dorm are the thin walls that can be a bother if you try to go to sleep early.

CKB is the best freshman dorm. Everyone says it's antisocial, but that's really not the case. Everyone was always in each other's rooms or studying together in the common areas. Only having to share a bathroom with ~5 other people is so nice. Also there's usually two lounges per floor on Court, Kay, and Bauer, so you'll always have somewhere quiet to study or just chill with friends. It's also in a central location between the two dining halls on north, so you don't have to walk super far to get to either one.

Super clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are nice as well. Not a very social place to live, but if you can make friends / make friends elsewhere, it works out to great place to live. Close to campus, the gym, and has AC!

Best dorm on North. Sky bridge is really awesome, and the AC just pushes it over the edge. The reputation for not being social is totally false. I met all of my closest friends in this dorm, and everyone was always hanging out/partying in rooms and common rooms.

There's AC/air filtration which is huge, you can literally breathe the difference compared to Balch which is kinda musty. Walls are a bit thin so I could always overhear my neighbor's relationship issues. Rooms are also slightly smaller than some of the big rooms you can get in Balch or Dickson, but overall they make up for it by being new and nice.

One of the nicest dorms on campus currently. Doors slam which could get annoying but isn’t a huge deal. Bathrooms are small and can sometimes get messy. Room size is ok. Definitely nice having a newer room that has less wear and tear. “Pod” layout is nice. Having AC is nice, especially when it gets warm. A lot of really nice lounges and study rooms on every floor. The sky bridge is also very cool. Kitchens are about average size, not great, not awful. Great proximity to dining halls.

CKB is one of the nicest and newest freshman dorms, along with Mews. It has air conditioning, which most dorms don’t and is usually clean. My floor had 2 lounges, which helped everyone on the floor know each other. The kitchen is small and honestly not that nice, but it is there. The sky bridge is cool when it’s open.
